Intermezzo #149

Summertime and the livin’ is easy.
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high.
Oh, your daddy’s rich and your ma is good-lookin’.
So hush, little baby; don’t you cry.

One of these mornings you’re gonna rise up singing.
And you’ll spread your wings and you’ll take to the sky.
But till that morning, there ain’t nothin’ can harm you.
With daddy and mammy standin’ by.

Intermezzo #146

A woman that I know just came from Majorca, Spain.
She smiled because I did not understand. (parazzi! Parazzi!) (ole!).
Then she held out a ten pound bag of cocaine.
She said it was the finest in the land.

And I said, no, no, no, no, i don’t sniff it no more.
I’m tired of waking up on the floor.
No, thank you, please, it only makes me sneeze.
And then it makes it hard to find the door.
